Candle Care

We want you to enjoy your candles safely while getting the best possible burn. Follow these simple care tips to help your candles perform beautifully.

Before Lighting

  • Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (6 mm) before each burn.
  • Place your candle on a heat-resistant, stable surface away from drafts, pets, children, and anything flammable.
  • Remove all packaging and labels before lighting.

While Burning

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep candles at least 4 inches (10 cm) apart when burning multiple candles.
  • Do not burn your candle for more than 2 hours at a time.
  • Extinguish the flame if it becomes too high or begins to smoke.
  • Stop burning when approximately 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) of wax remains.

Decorative Candles

Our sculptural candles are designed to be both functional and decorative. Due to their unique shapes, they may drip or burn differently than traditional container candles.

If you choose to burn a decorative candle:

  • Always place it on a heat-resistant plate or tray large enough to catch any melted wax.
  • Burn in a draft-free area for a more even flame.
  • Never move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is hot.

Birthday Candles

Our beeswax birthday candles are designed for short burns during celebrations.

  • Insert the candle securely into the cake before lighting.
  • Light only when ready to celebrate.
  • Keep away from decorations, paper, or loose hair.
  • Extinguish immediately after use.

Storage

To keep your candles looking their best:

  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight to help preserve their color and finish.
  • Avoid exposing candles to excessive heat.

Candle Safety

Always remember:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep away from children and pets.
  • Keep away from flammable objects.
  • Always burn on a heat-resistant surface.
  • Never burn a candle near curtains or in a draft.

Thank you for choosing our handcrafted candles. We hope they bring warmth, joy, and a little extra charm to your space.
